This week’s guest is Mark Roberge; a bestselling author, Senior Lecturer at Harvard Business School, and Chief Revenue Officer at HubSpot. Roberge was one of the first employees at HubSpot, and between 2007 and 2013 he grew HubSpot’s revenue by more than 6,000 per cent and expanded the Sales and Services team from one to 450 people. In the process, he landed HubSpot the #33 spot on Inc. Magazine’s list of the 500 fastest growing companies of 2011 and developed his signature marketing strategy: the Sales Acceleration Formula. We asked Roberge about the future of marketing, growth strategies for startups and scaleups, and the changes universities need to make to teach sales instead of marketing.
