IMS delivers Ready for Guidewire accelerator for UBI
WATERLOO, Ontario, Canada and FOSTER CITY, California, September 8, 2016 – Intelligent Mechatronic Systems Inc. (IMS), a leading connected car and insurance telematics solution provider, and Guidewire Software, Inc. (NYSE: GWRE), a provider of software products to Property/Casualty insurers, today announced that IMS has joined Guidewire PartnerConnect™ as a Solution Alliance Partner. The companies also announced IMS’ participation in the Ready for Guidewire accelerator validation program as well as immediate availability of IMS’ UBI Enrollment Accelerator, built for seamless integration with Guidewire PolicyCenter®. Insurance telematics and UBI programs work as a way for automotive insurers to meet customers’ needs, increase retention, and help improve revenues and costs. Telematics-based programs enable insurers to promote safer driving behavior, increase policyholder engagement, improve and automate processes, and reduce the frequency and magnitude of claims.
Designed to help insurers meet their various program needs, IMS offers a broad spectrum of insurance telematics solutions all powered by the award-winning DriveSync connected car platform. DriveSync platform-enabled insurance solutions and services include UBI, claims management, event reconstruction, incident detection, driver coaching, scoring and analytics. All services are backed by IMS’ deployment expertise and experience, robust security architecture, and strong intellectual property protection consisting of over 200 patents and patents pending. The Ready for Guidewire validated IMS’ UBI Enrollment Accelerator expedites the integration of IMS’ UBI solution with Guidewire PolicyCenter®. The seamless integration allows insurers to enroll clients and manage their policyholder data through a single system, PolicyCenter, while at the same time ensuring the captured data is communicated back to IMS’ DriveSync connected car platform for analysis. With the UBI Enrollment Accelerator and PolicyCenter, insurers can save on integration costs, reduce the implementation time of a UBI program and decrease training times, as staff do not need to be trained on two separate systems. “We are looking forward to bringing the power of IMS’ market-leading insurance telematics solution to Guidewire customers to help ensure their telematics-based programs are ready for success,” said Christopher Dell, Senior Director, Product Management and Development at IMS. “IMS can immediately enable insurance companies to realize the time and cost saving benefits of seamless Guidewire integration, while leveraging our extensive knowledge, expertise and experience for a quick path to market.” “We welcome IMS to the Guidewire PartnerConnect Solution program,” added Neil Betteridge, Vice President, Strategy at Guidewire Software. “As insurance companies harness the power of insurance telematics, including UBI programs, we look forward to working with IMS to help ease the path to more tailored auto insurance offerings.”
IMS’ UBI Enrollment Accelerator is currently available, at no charge, to Guidewire PolicyCenter customers via the Resource Portal.
